 Living Center

Woodland Hills strives to provide patients with a home-like environment while keeping them safe and promoting their well-being.

24-Hour Nursing Care

Woodland Hills Healthcare provides patients with a safe, home-like environment while providing the full range of 24-hour nursing services with physician oversight. These include a restorative nursing program, cardiac & neurological care, diabetic care and wound and skin care. Woodland Hills also offers transportation and assistance to local medical appointments for residents.

Our dining room offers a relaxed dining experience for our residents and their families. Guests are invited to purchase a meal and dine with their loved ones. Residents can also choose to dine in their room.

Woodland Hills offers a wide variety of activities designed to keep residents active and engaged. For example, residents enjoy book time, performances by local residents, pie socials, gardening, religious services and more. We also have an active Resident Council that meets monthly to pick upcoming activities, choose a Resident of the Month and discuss menus with the dietary manager.

All of the activities we plan are geared to appeal to our residents’ varied interests. Some of our social program activities that take place at Woodland Hills include:

  • Concerts

  • Religious services

  • Arts and crafts

  • Interactive games like bingo and bowling

  • Gardening

“In the summertime, we have a vegetable garden and flowers and there are lots of things to do. I plant okra and bell peppers. I also play some Bingo and 'hands-down'—a card game the activities director created. We win some great prizes so it’s worth playing the game. Once a week they have a movie night with popcorn that I enjoy.”

 Additional Resident Benefits

Family Involvement

Families play a key role in helping their loved ones adjust to life at Woodland Hills. One way to make the experience more positive and comfortable is, of course, to visit regularly and spend quality time together. Try to incorporate things your loved one has long enjoyed doing. For example, if she enjoyed reading, start a book together that can be read aloud one chapter at a time. If he loved perusing the newspaper every day, make sure his subscription is continued. Most of all, enjoy the time spent with your loved one. And remember, if you have to miss a visit, a meaningful phone call or letter will be well received, too.
